FAQs

Q. What does "after the device starts the phase-out" mean?

A. The date on which the device starts the phase-out is shown in the product sheet of the website. From that date, add the years of support and you will find the date on which Vimar will stop providing security updates.
If you don't see the phase-out date in the product sheet, it means that your product is still in the catalog and supported, so you will benefit from security updates.

Q. What if I cannot see the phase-out date?

A. It means your product is still under management. Therefore your product will receive software security updates.

Q. What does it mean “updatable product”?

A. It means a product that can receive a firmware or software update.
Please note that not all Vimar products are updatable, you can think for example to an electromechanical product or product with limited software or hardware capabilities.

Q. How do I know if my product is updatable?

A. Check the product documentation to see if it benefits of automatic updates, otherwise check whether there are any software update to be installed manually on the product sheet or in the Download > Software section of our website.
Always remember to have the latest version of the software installed to be protected against security vulnerabilities.
