NDAA Law, what is it about?

The John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act 2019 (NDAA) is a federal law of the United States introduced in 2018. Among other things, Section 889 introduces an essential clause that prohibits federal agencies and their contractors from procuring or using certain telecommunication services, video surveillance equipment, and components produced by specific Chinese companies.

This section aims to strengthen national security and protect from potential cyber threats that may be caused by the use of equipment or services linked to foreign entities that pose a risk to sensitive data.
