Ad Lib
Ad Lib is a tri-deck 40m (131ft) motoryacht, designed by Dubois Naval Architects for Gary Lane, chairman of Alloy Yachts, the New Zealand custom builder of aluminium motor yachts and sailing yachts. Ad Lib's l ines reveal a modern, elegant motoryacht, with a low profile and an extremely high standard of finish.
Its main accommodation on the lower deck has two double guest cabins and one twin cabin, all with ensuites. The fourth guest cabin is fitted as a gymnasium with pullman berth, that could easily be converted back to a guest cabin. Forward are a double captain's cabin, one twin crew cabin and one three berth crew cabin all with ensuites.
The Interior finishes, handled by Donald Starkey Designs, feature extensive use of book-matched wenge panels, together with leather and fabric panelling. The guest joinery is in wenge and sycamore with burr birch inlays, while the interior hard floors are in oak planking, or marble in the ensuite bathrooms.
