Yet another acknowledgement for the innovative Multipack packaging
Vimar was among the star players and won the WorldStar 2024 award, organised by the World Packaging Organization, in the “packaging materials and components” category. The WPO (World Packaging Organisation) is an international organisation which brings together professionals and experts in the packaging industry from all over the world.
Since 1970, the WorldStar contest is one of the WPO’s major events and among the most pre-eminent in the world, devised to document the continuous progress made in packaging design and technology.
In this established context, Vimar presented and won yet another acknowledgement for its innovative Multipack, a sustainable solution in terms of both material and use. This packaging is produced using FSC certified recycled paper, which guarantees it is sourced from responsibly managed forests. The printing inks used are water-based - a safe and environmentally-friendly solution that offers excellent colour and durability. While the outside of the package has a rough surface, the inside is smooth and coated to avoid damaging product surfaces.
All the packaging follows the principle of balanced size to avoid unnecessary paper wastage and is designed for automatic packaging processes, in order to improve processes.
Specifically, the Multipack presented at the contest mirrors the principles of sustainability and innovation because it was designed to facilitate product distribution and speed up and simplify unwrapping operations at the construction site. Indeed, thanks to the knockouts in the packaging, the pack can be opened in a jiffy to gain access to five pieces simultaneously or divided up into several units, according to need, making the product more user-friendly while optimising work processes. Winning the WorldStar 2024 award, in a category that is already quite crowded when it comes to participants, acknowledges how Vimar focuses its attention on the design and quality of its product range without ever disregarding the environment or people.
