The new Eikon Tactil touch thermostat has been rewarded
Yet another major accolade joins Vimar’s hall of fame. Just two years since it last won the award, the company based in Marostica once again clinches the prestigious Red Dot Award 2021 in the “Interior Design Elements” category thanks to the new Eikon Tactil touch thermostat.
“Straight-forward, elegantly designed and featuring several control options”. These are the main characteristics which drove the international jury panel - chaired by Mr. Peter Zec, founder and managing director of Red Dot – to assign the award, synonymous with quality design on an international scale for years now.
The technologically seductive silhouettes of this device make it an exclusive item of interior décor that enhances domestic comfort. Made of plate glass, in the black and white diamond finishes, it features touch technology, a proximity sensor and brightness sensor that turn the RGB LED matrix display on as soon as you approach the device. The innovative 3D gesture function also allows you to control it simply using gestures, without touching it. Available in two technological variants, on KNX standard and on By-me protocol for integration in Vimar’s home & building automation systems. Three styling versions to offer an additional stylish touch to both domestic and service industry settings: with customisable function key, with fan coil unit control key or with hotel functions key to signal the status of the room.
