Vimar has total control of Elvox
A year after the first acquisition, when in December 2011 Vimar bought a 75% share in Elvox, this latest purchase is part of a development plan which in the past year has seen the increasing integration of the two Italian companies, leading to the birth of the Vimar Group.
Marked by a long standing tradition and strong presence in its reference markets - based on the high technical quality of its products, its intense R&D activities and a vocation for Italian production - the two companies can now count on a unified sales network that is able to supply the market with a complete and integrated package of solutions for inside and outside, dedicated to the residential and contract sectors.
Vimar Group is one of the key players in the national electrical components market, with an annual turnover of around 230 million EUR. More than 1300 people work around the world to supply the more than 9000 items in the catalogue - from residential to home and building automation, video entry systems and CCTV, gate automation systems, plugs, sockets and accessories - to more than 100 countries.
Particular attention is paid to the environment throughout the production cycle. A detailed programme running across the whole company ensures that at the end of their life cycle the products can be totally dismantled and recycled. Recycled and recyclable packaging, water-based painting processes, the progressive elimination of polluting electroplating processes and a photovoltaic system measuring 11,000 m2 on the roof of the production site in Marostica, are just some of the measures adopted to reduce environmental impact, aware that only by protecting our local territory will we be able to grow continuously and harmoniously.
