The unmistakable Sanlorenzo 106 combines elegance, well-proportioned spaces, a balanced ratio of empty to occupied spaces and an extraordinary number of innovations, without even slightly altering or undermining the family feeling so typical of Sanlorenzo style.
It is a vessel which unites customised interior design by leading brands with avant-garde technological equipment. In fact, hundreds of electrical functions are squeezed into just a few square metres, to provide all cabins with wellbeing and comfort. From this point of view, attention to detail is at its greatest, in order to build a system which runs perfectly within optimised spaces. The Sanlorenzo 106 offers an impeccable welcome for its guests on board while sailing smoothly across the sea.
To support the first-rate electrical system, all rooms have been fitted with real technological gems: Eikon Tactil controls by Vimar. Instantly captivating, the lines of these devices make a smooth, bright glass surface come alive, capable of further enhancing the interiors of a vessel which boasts design and technology as its main strengths.
Underneath the stylish diamond black crystal surface are the Vimar home automation controls. A proximity sensor detects an approach to the device and activates the RGB LED backlighting. A light touch is all that is needed to activate them; the sophisticated Eikon Tactil touch technology then transforms this into direct energy control.
These devices can therefore be used for impeccable lighting control, to create the perfect atmosphere every single time. Soft or bright lighting: the passengers in each cabin can create the desired effect, thanks to special dimmers. But this is not all: these Tactil controls can also be used to adjust blinds and shades. The various functions are easily identifiable thanks to the relevant icons with elegant amber backlighting.
The shipowner chose to combine the exclusivity of Eikon Tactil with the elegant lines of the Eikon Evo series, available in two versions: diamond black crystal and diamond white crystal. Forms designed to be noticed, sizes which delicately stand out on walls, an ultra-slim profile. The Eikon cover plates frame the wide range of Vimar sockets – from shaver sockets in bathrooms to German standard sockets – meeting every functional need.
Both Eikon Tactil and Eikon were chosen for their ability to complement rooms with such stylish interior design schemes. Areas such as the lounge, with its focal point of a steel and leather screen filtering the stairway to the sleeping area: the task of furnishing this space was entrusted to Surface, a B&B table designed by Vincent Van Duysen, in addition to the “Ground pieces” sofa and the two Feel Good armchairs designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform. Accompanying it are Aston chairs - clearly echoing the chairs typical of the 1960s - by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti.
Or even in the bedrooms, where the diamond black crystal version of Eikon Tactil nestles amongst Dedar fabric-covered headboards like a jewel.
Finally, all the lighting controlled by Vimar devices consists of warm LEDs with customised Artemide fixtures created especially for Sanlorenzo, alongside two other Citterio creations: Leukon table lamps designed for Maxalto and Flex reading lights in the bedrooms, designed for Flos.
The result of a painstaking selection process, involving constant discussions between the shipowner and the entire team of architects working on the Sanlorenzo in order to find the very best solutions available, the 106 is a powerhouse of Italian technology and design in which Vimar products were sure to feature.
