In the Apulian countryside, a project by the architect Nicola Isetta has created a refuge surrounded by greenery. A project that allowed the Reisarchitecture studio to win the Special In / Architettura 2020 Award assigned by Vimar for the best national project. Always particularly attentive to the needs of architects and the trends of modern living, Vimar, with the support of the In Arch 2020 Award, wanted to offer a further stimulus to professionals to consider wiring devices and Home and Building automation systems as an integral part of the architectural project and not as a subsequent complement.
This house in particular was awarded for its ability to reinterpret the traditional forms and materials of rural Apulian architecture in a contemporary key, integrating into the surrounding landscape, while using the most sophisticated technology. Vimar technology was chosen to allow owners, who are often away from home on business trips, to be able to control the home even remotely, in an easy and safe way. For this, a home automation system was installed which, with the help of a webserver, allows all those normally independent functions to be contained within a single device: the smartphone. A convenience that makes the difference and allows, for example, to monitor accesses and answer the video intercom, but also supervise the security and alarm systems, lights and, last but not least, the air conditioning. The technology has been dressed in the unmistakable design of the Eikon Evo plates in total white aluminium that represent a tribute to the beauty of the shapes, the quality of the finishes, and technological intelligence.
The result of these choices is a perfectly successful mix of technology, contemporary style and elements of tradition.
