Located on a hill overlooking the town of Mykonos, “Deos” is the new Luxury Hotel, recently opened by the prestigious Greek chain Myconian Collection.
A unique and meticulous setting, born from the passion for the authenticity of the location and which enjoys a panoramic view of the famous windmills in the old port and the adjacent islands of Delos, Syros and Tinos. An architecture that ensures the interior liaises with the exterior seamlessly and elegantly, striking the perfect balance with nature. The project conceived by architect Galal Mahmoud, from Lebanese studio GM Architects, has a clear vision of the ideal stay in this accommodation facility, which is destined to become the new benchmark for luxury destinations in the Aegean Sea.
Overlooking the pool from the terrace, you have the feeling of sailing between sea and sky, kissed by the sun and cradled by a gentle breeze, with the colours of the sunset and the moonlight reflected on the water’s surface. Chora's vibrant and exuberant streets, which are only a 5-minute walk away, are replicated in the walkways, which guide guests to their suites, featuring large terraces and private pools.
An exclusive welcome, also guaranteed by the presence of Vimar devices, in particular the Eikon Exé series with flat controls, the elegance and impeccable design of which clearly emerge, offering clean-cut silhouettes and flat surfaces, for a new vision of luxury.
The contemporary style of the hotel perfectly complements the landscape through distinctive features, such as walls built from local stone, lush native plants, and some truly priceless views. The rooms offer all the comforts of a private home, while retaining the charm of a getaway from the daily routine. The interiors are minimal, but at the same time welcoming, conveying the story of craftsmanship through textures and natural materials. Immaculately furnished with a private pool or whirlpool bathtub, the outdoor spaces are perhaps the most distinctive features.
The hotel also has a wellness area, with a gym also equipped for Pilates and Yoga, and a spa with an indoor pool, relaxation area, sauna and steam room.
The Myconian Collection's renowned gastronomic offering is also rooted in tradition and emphasises the Greek culinary culture, based on its own ingredients and seasonal produce. The refined and gourmet food served at the Epico restaurant is one of the experiences that make Deos memorable. Offering both indoor and outdoor dining, the restaurant serves a unique dinner under the stars affording views of Mykonos town.
The sensory experience is therefore everywhere in this extraordinary environment, where the perfect blend of natural beauty, ancient history, culture and local lifestyle is accompanied by Vimar technology: smart hospitality in a haven of well-being. Specifically, the project entailed the installation of the By-me Plus home automation system, dedicated to the complete control of functions in the rooms, and the Well-Contact Plus system, on KNX standards, for the management of communal areas. All of this in styling to match the Eikon series, particularly the exclusive Eikon Exé cover plates with Flat controls, which stand out distinctively in the rooms, framing the various devices. The square and flat shape of the controls, chosen in Anthracite Grey finish, generates a delightful flush-to-surface effect, paired with their respective metal cover plate, for a stylish Total look that befits the linear and minimalist design canons of the project. Eikon Tactil, with its pure plate glass surface oozing delicate charm, was selected for the card readers outside the rooms. An imperceptible presence that protrudes just a few millimetres from the wall and features backlit LED symbols to alert the hotel staff if the guest does not want to be disturbed, or if room cleaning is requested.
The sense of wonder and amazement that pervades guests as they enter the Deos Hotel is surely due to the mystique of the location, which the name itself suggests. A profoundly personal experience in harmony with the surrounding environment, in which once again the positive energy of Vimar plays a fundamental role - linking the elements together.
