After “Viking Star”, built and delivered in spring 2015, and “Viking Sea”, which set sail in early 2016, now comes the turn of “Viking Sky”, the third of six cruise ships being built for the ship operator Viking Ocean Cruises by Fincantieri, one of the world’s leading shipbuilders and the top brand for diversification and innovation.
Like its twin ships, also for the “Viking Sky” Fincantieri chose Vimar devices - which have always been a byword for Italian-made quality - to offer impeccable energy control and management for the guests.
Controls with precise, silent mechanisms for dimming the lighting as required, while different types of sockets - from standard to shaver sockets in the bathrooms, to USB sockets - ensure access to electricity everywhere.
In particular, the flush-mounted USB sockets, the the two-module version, were chosen for the possibility to supply a current of up to 2.1 A - through the special High Power outlet - and can charge even the most powerful devices - such as 10” tablets – in less than 6 hours. This makes them particularly suited to a context like this, where devices often have to be fully charged overnight.
Not only functional, but stylish too: all Vimar devices blend perfectly with Plana cover plates, offering a perfect balance between technology and attention to detail.
Fitted in two versions - white for the communal areas and silver for the cabins – once again Plana has made its mark for the ease with which it blends into different settings: from bedrooms to bathrooms, from corridors to halls. With its minimalist and ergonomic design, exquisite and easy-to-clean materials and comprehensive functions, this series is the ideal companion for an unforgettable cruise.
