MSC Sinfonia sets sail again with Vimar
The MSC Sinfonia has returned to the sea for the first time in the Gulf of Naples, sporting a brand new look.
Arriving from the shipyards in Palermo, where for 9 weeks she underwent Fincantieri's “Renaissance” refit programme, the MSC Sinfonia is the second of the company's ships to undergo restyling and extension works, after the MSC Armonia. The whole project includes 4 ships from the Lirica class, involving the addition of a 24 metre section in the central part of the ship.
In the shipyard since January, the MSC Sinfonia is now ready to return to work with a new look, enhanced spaces for the passengers and a range of renewed services.
Like its twin ship the MSC Armonia, the devices, controls and cover plates of the Vimar Plana series were also chosen for the MSC Sinfonia. In this context of excellence, Plana was installed throughout the ship, from the cabins to the bars and restaurants. Chosen in white, it blends in perfectly with the elegant style of the whole ship.
Plana offers passengers many functions: lighting controls mounted on the beds, universal sockets, TV and data transmission socket outlets. Discreet by day, illuminated at night thanks to the backlit buttons with soft light and low power consumption. As evening falls, a slender ring of light becomes discernible and the Plana buttons automatically become visible. And during the night it is a welcome presence: always easy to find and pleasing to the eye. Plana is available for comfort, security, energy saving and emergency lighting devices.
