Seabourn Encore is the first of two extra-luxury cruise ships commissioned from Fincantieri by Seabourn Cruise Line, a brand of Carnival Corporation, the world’s leading cruise ship operator. The ship was built with cutting edge features and technical solutions that make Seabourn one of the most prestigious brands in the extra-luxury sector
In this kind of context, where everything is studied down to the finest detail, shipyard giants Fincantieri have once again chosen Vimar as its Partner for the supply of electricity management and control devices. In all the 300 suites with private balcony and the crew quarter cabins, the Plana series sets the scene for all the controls and sockets. While the controls are used impeccably to turn the lights on and off, the sockets come in different variants: standard sockets, shaving sockets in the bathrooms, TV sockets as well as sockets for data transmission. Seabourn Encore is in fact equipped with a Netsafe wiring system: communication, data transmission and multimedia content sharing has never been so safe and easy for passengers.
With its rigorous design and delicate sizes, Plana is a solution with exceptional formal harmony, ideal for such an elegant setting. From its wide range of colours and materials, two variants were chosen for two different uses: the matt nickel technopolymer version for the passenger cabins and sapphire reflex for the crew quarters.
Supporting the top-class fittings, all cabins are equipped with card bolder pocket readers: when the card is inserted, the lights come on and the temperature is set to comfort level, while all the lights are switched off and the temperature returned to stand-by when the card is removed before leaving the room. For a cruise offering the best in comfort and the awareness of avoiding waste.
The choice of Vimar devices is part of an innovative project, which aims to optimise energy efficiency and minimise environmental impact: only advanced technologies with standards exceeding the requirements of the reference laws were used in the building of the Seabourn Encore.
