Extra-luxury cruises, with Vimar's Idea

“Le Lyrial”, the extra-luxury cruise ship commissioned from Fincantieri by the French shipping company Ponant (Bridgepoint Group) was recently delivered at the shipyard in Ancona. The new ship, sporting the French flag, is the fourth in the clan, after “L’Austral”, “Le Boreal” and “Le Soleal”.

Like its sister ships, “Le Lyrial” can to all extents and purposes be compared to a mega yacht. It is equipped with the best environmental protection technologies, and with its smaller size is able to reach ports and destinations which are inaccessible for larger ships. “Le Lyrial” also boasts an innovative design in its communal spaces, developed in-house by Fincantieri using products and labour defined by an internal team, as well as a latest-generation energy-saving lighting system using only made in Italy LEDs.

Lighting control using the controls and lighting points from Vimar's Idea series, ensuring the highest levels of functionality and security. Idea means total freedom of choice: from the button and control colour variants – available in white and anthracite grey – to the two cover plate models, Classica and Rondò. Fifty two colours and four precious materials - metal, solid wood, technopolymer and silk – give this element a very up-to-date appearance.

“Le Lyrial” has a gross tonnage of approximately 11,000 tonnes and is approximately 142 metres long and 18 metres wide. It can host 244 passengers on board in 122 cabins, all with an outside view, 94% of which have a private balcony. The hallmark of “Le Lyrial” is the creation of a whole deck with privilege suite and grand privilege suite cabins, which are larger than those on the sister ships. It is equipped with the most advanced technologies for reducing environmental impact and energy consumption.
