The new ship for the Holland America Line, the Carnival group brand, has recently been consigned to the Fincantieri plant in Koningsdam.
It offers 99,800 gross tonnage, a length of almost 300 metres and capacity for 2,650 passengers in more than 1,300 cabins, of which 70% have private balconies overlooking the sea. The ship is new for the Pinnacle class and is the fifteenth ship created by Fincantieri for the Holland America Line.
Koningsdam presents many unique details. Details such as the Eikon and Arké civil series by Vimar, chosen to embellish the lighting points and sockets in various areas.
Eikon, in its shiny nickel model, perfectly matches the elegance of the furnishing of all the most prestigious suites. Arké, in lava coloured aluminium, is used for the other passenger cabins.
Both the Vimar series feature many functions: lighting commands at the end of the bed, emergency high-efficiency LED torches, universal sockets, television and data transmission sockets and card door readers in which a card inserted in the slot automatically activates the lights and brings the temperature to the desired level in a short space of time.
The quality, safety and design of its products has made Vimar a leader in the supply of electrical materials for the naval sector.
