The new flagship of the Carnival Cruise Line, part of the Carnival Group, the first international operator in the cruise sector, has recently been consigned to the Fincantieri di Monfalcone plant.
To ensure that the electrical system conforms with the high standards requested, Fincantieri has again chosen Vimar devices and cover plates, to add a touch a class to all spaces.
Present in two versions - Silver in the passenger and white in the crew cabins - the Plana series adapts easily to various environments. Its timeless design, beautiful and easy to clean materials and the complete array of functions, make this series the perfect companion for a journey in the pursuit of comfort. Comfort is also ensured by the Vimar card door readers present in each cabin. By inserting the card in a slot the lights are automatically activated and the temperature in brought to the desired level in a short space of time.
If Plana has been chosen for the cabins, cover plates and devices from the Idea range in Classic or black chrome metal are installed in common areas. These fit in perfectly in every space, offering reliability and a high-quality look in any context.
Nothing has been left to chance on the largest ship in the Carnival Cruise Line float. To ensure completely secure communication, Pixel video entrance panels have been installed outside reserved-entrance areas such as the slot machine room. From these positions, crew members can make an internal call and the series 6600 video door entry systems permit recognition and door opening.
'Carnival Vista' with133,500 tonnes of gross tonnage and 323 metres in length, is the thirteenth ship constructed by Fincantieri for the Carnival Cruise Line float. The ship has 1,967 cabins of which 785 are for the crew and can accommodate more than 6,400 guests. There is a vast range of on-board entertainment, including a Imax 3D cinema, a 5D cinema, an open-air cycle track situated 45 metres above the sea and the largest aquatic park of the float with a spiral slide of 137 metres.
