The exclusive silhouette of Eikon Tactil has been published in ADI Design Index, the prestigious yearbook of ADI Association for the Industrial Design that gathers the best of the Italian design and enables participation at the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award, the oldest and most influential international design award.
Products published in ADI Design Index have been selected by the ADI Design Permanent observatory following rigorous and defined parameters: originality, functional and typological innovation, production processes, materials and formal synthesis. Eikon Tactil holds all these features. Attractive at first sight, the silhouette of this device brings to life a surface that enhances even the most exclusive interiors.
To accommodate market’s requirements, demanding even more sophisticated products characterized by minimal and clean-cut silhouettes, high-quality materials and fine finishes, Eikon Tactil is available even with customised finishes like solid wood, natural leather, carved stone and Corian®.
It's under these prized materials that Vimar’s smart home, stand alone, and KNX controls can be found. Activating them requires just a light touch, then transformed by the sophisticated touch technology into direct energy control. As soon as they are touched a sensor detects the proximity to the device and activates an RGB led backlighting integrated into the system. Once the button is pressed, a specific signal provides acoustic feedback.
After winning the prestigious 2019 Red Dot Award, the selection made by ADI Design Index is the final confirmation of how Vimar, as a genuine ambassador of excellence Made in Italy, focuses its attention on the design and quality of its product range.
