ALTATENSIONE exhibition at the ADI Design Museum
Vimar showcases its positive energy in Milan, from the electric home to the smart home
Having always focused on the evolution of domestic lifestyles and on the impeccable quality of its products, Vimar has confirmed its role as a brand from the world of the finest Italian design with an exhibition dedicated to the ADI Design Museum in Milan, a temple of Italian design which coined the legendary ADI Compasso d’Oro Award.
From 3rd to 14th November, the “ALTATENSIONE Vimar made in Italy” exhibition tells the story of Vimar, the starring brand in the evolution of systems and objects which have brought electricity and services connected to electricity to Italian homes from the post-war period to the present day.
Across five sections, the evolution of the brand’s products, services and organisation, from 1945 to the present day, is portrayed in relation to the culture of the home and its transformations: from the simple supply of devices in existing homes through to the incorporation of electrical services in the very body of the home: a component that is nowadays essential in any architectural project.
In parallel, throughout the exhibition display, the evolution of an industrial culture is also set out, representing a series of values that are intrinsically tied to the success of the products: the courage of risking capital, time and work in innovation, the deep roots in the place of production, the focus on the evolution of the domestic culture, technology and social responsibility.
The exhibition is completed by an extensive catalogue curated by DDW Design Diffusion World and ADI Design Museum.
This prestigious location and venue confirm Vimar’s ranking on the contemporary scene: anticipating trends and making ground-breaking innovations, the brand is capable of embracing the changes in society and of offering state-of-the-art solutions from both a technical and a styling perspective, innovating the way we live and enjoy our homes.
