A home in harmony with nature, powered by Vimar's positive energy
We are in the heart of Val Seriana, among the spectacular peaks of the Bergamasque Alps, to illustrate a private home built in harmony with the surrounding environment to promote the well-being of its inhabitants. This home, envisioned by its owners and brought to life by Architect Sabrina Oprandi, celebrates the harmony of nature through a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Spread across two levels, with a terrace floor dedicated to living and an attic floor for sleeping featuring a single-pitched roof, the modern building, nestled amidst lush greenery, gracefully adapts to the rolling hillside terrain.
Expansive windows that bathe the interiors in natural light, offering panoramic views and creating a sense of openness that encourages the flow of positive energy; the entire space is connected by a striking, cantilevered wooden staircase, centrally located to become a focal point with its airy, visually light design.
In this mountain architecture, natural and sustainable materials take centre stage, with larch wood prominently featured in both the interior and exterior design as well as in the roof beams. The warm, earthy brown tones complement the wood, creating a sense of harmony and reflecting a deep connection with the surrounding ecosystem. At the heart of the home lies the fireplace, a minimalist design that exudes warmth and creates a cosy atmosphere, with the fire's heat permeating every corner of the building.
In this holistic context, where the building is an integral part of the landscape, Vimar fits in perfectly with the By-me plus home automation system, to manage all the functions of the home synergistically, to control the lighting, the temperature, the blind and roller shutter automations, electricity consumption and loads of individual appliances and much more. The system goes beyond optimising the indoor climate and lighting for maximum energy saving; it also fosters sustainable living by minimising excess waste. What’s more, using remote control and the View App, the home can be managed anywhere thanks to a user-friendly and easy-to-use interface.
To guarantee security and safety, the By-me Plus home automation system has been integrated with the By-alarm Plus burglar alarm system and the Elvox CCTV video surveillance system with black Tab 5S Up video entryphones, the Pixel video entrance panel, and the Mini Dome and Bullet cameras, positioned outside. This way, the View App becomes the only application to manage comfort, security, communication and energy saving.
Last but by no means least, with the By-me Plus system, Vimar provides seamless integration, harmonising home automation technology with the sophisticated Arké Fit wiring series, available in total look metal grey and black finishes. Sleek and sophisticated, the series is lightweight and imperceptible on the walls, providing the perfect flush-fit result.
The idea of rethinking our connection with the environment and creating buildings that live in harmony with nature, promoting both environmental sustainability and human well-being, is a fundamental principle of bioarchitecture, which can also be perfected thanks to Vimar's positive energy: the home in Val Seriana is a concrete example of this.
